Generational Squash is a squash coaching and development community based at Surrey Sports Park, operating in partnership with Team Surrey Juniors. Founded by three professionals who started as juniors at the Park in 2012, we now provide coaching, community events, and support for squash players of all levels.

6. Participant Conduct, Safeguarding, Complaints & Exclusions

Generational Squash is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and positive environment for all participants, coaches, staff, and partner venues.

6.1 Conduct Expectations
All participants are expected to behave appropriately at all times. This includes respectful conduct towards others and compliance with venue rules and coaching instructions. Behaviour that may be considered inappropriate includes (but is not limited to) harassment, bullying, discrimination, aggression, disruption, or any conduct that may compromise safety, welfare, or the integrity of coaching sessions.

6.2 Complaints and Concerns
Generational Squash may receive complaints, safeguarding concerns, or reports relating to participant behaviour from any relevant party, including coaches, staff, venue partners, or third parties. All concerns will be reviewed and handled in accordance with safeguarding principles, operational requirements, and applicable policies.

6.3 Temporary Suspension or Exclusion
Generational Squash reserves the right to temporarily suspend, restrict, or exclude any participant from sessions at its discretion where it reasonably believes this is necessary, including (but not limited to):

safeguarding or welfare concerns;
allegations of inappropriate or disruptive behaviour;
receipt of complaints requiring review or investigation;
risk to coaches, participants, staff, or venue operations;
operational or conduct-related concerns.

Such measures may be implemented on a precautionary basis while matters are reviewed and do not necessarily indicate wrongdoing.

6.4 Process and Fairness
Where appropriate and reasonably practicable, participants may be informed of concerns raised and given an opportunity to respond before a final decision is made. However, immediate temporary restrictions may be applied where required to protect safety, welfare, safeguarding obligations, or operational integrity.

6.5 Confidentiality
Generational Squash may be required to keep certain information confidential, including the identity of complainants, witnesses, or safeguarding referrals, where appropriate or legally required.

6.6 Final Decisions
Final decisions regarding participation, suspension, or exclusion will be made by Generational Squash (and where applicable in consultation with partner venues or safeguarding leads), based on available information and reasonable judgement.
